An honorary consulate of the Republic of Turkey was opened in the second largest city in Poland. Today there was a ceremonial opening attended by representatives of the local government, as well as representatives of universities and the media.

 

The new consulate general is based in Krakow. Paweł Dowgier, who is the manager of an engineering and construction company specializing in the renovation of historic buildings, was appointed an Honorary Consule General.

 

The Turkish ambassador, who made a speech at the ceremony said that it was a great honor to be able to appoint a new Consul in Krakow, who will be the second Turkish Honorary Consul in Poland. It was also stated that the Turkish government showed a strong will to develop stronger relations between Turkey and Poland.
